Description:

The SUU VR/AR Innovation Studio is looking for a student to help with VR/AR technology in our classroom lab. This position involves supporting faculty and students with managing the 22 Meta Quest 3 headsets in the classroom, ensuring the equipment is ready to use, and troubleshooting any issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot Meta Quest 3 headsets and related equipment.
  • Help students and faculty install, configure, and use VR/AR software.
  • Provide support during class sessions, answering questions and fixing issues.
  • Ensure all equipment is charged, sanitized, and properly stored after use.
  • Keep track of technical issues and report recurring problems.
  • Track attendance of the classroom during open hours and class times.
  • Assist with organizing VR/AR course materials.
  • Help train students and faculty on proper equipment use.
  • Maintain a clean and organized lab.
  • Stay updated on VR/AR technology.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Must be a student at Southern Utah University.
  • Interest or experience in VR/AR technology.
  • Familiarity with Meta Quest 3 headsets (training can be provided).
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Willingness to learn.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with VR/AR applications or classroom tech.
  • Previous customer service or technical support experience.
  • Basic computer troubleshooting skills.
